Alright- so this “A blog a day for ten days until I go on vacation” isn’t quite working out. I keep forgetting to do some posts 
Soooo….lets change it to “Write a blog whenever i feel like it until I go on vacation” Ok….that sounds good.
So this morning, I was thinking about a topic to write about- because nothing came to my mind automatically. I think I looked around my room for something interesting for about…10 minutes until I came across the perfect thing. My shoes. But these aren’t any ordinary shoes. I made them. Well…i didn’t make, alright….so basically they were originally white but I got bored with them so I took my sharpies and put whatever I felt like it needed on there. they are Chuck Taylors (Converses) so they have a lot of room to put stuff on. I can’t remember how long I have been wearing converses, but for as long as I can remember I loved them. After I finished that one pair (about 3 years ago) I wore them every day. Then, a few weeks ago, I bought another pair of converses and did the same thing- just more creative and more…me. Honestly- I don’t know why I am telling you about my shoes……I guess they have just a special meaning to me. the first pair I did- It was a spear of the moment kinda thing. then the second pair I did- I had everything special to me on them. One side has all music notes because I love music and I love to sing. On another side- its all Harry Potter (yes im a nerd) like quotes-symbols- ships…(for those who don’t know what a ship is….well….you dont need to know if you don’t know) Then on the other shoe I have all these stars- they represent all the musicals and plays i’ve been in, and want to be in. Then on the last side- a little bit of everything. Quotes from my best friend, musicals, stars, music notes, harry potter what-not, hearts. Well, this is turning into much more than I planned, so I’ll leave you with pictures of my shoes.
Summer….now what?
Alright, so school has been out for a little over a month. People have gone to camps, went on vacation, hang out with friends, and some have yet to do anything. Since, technically i’m not in middle school anymore (I will always be at heart) I am now considering this my official blog…of just….whatever I feel like writing at the time. I am most likely the only person still doing random blogs anymore…but it is summer…and my camp is over and I don’t go away on vacation for another 10 days, so what else is there to do. Sooo, every day until I go away (so, about for ten days) I will write a post about what ever comes to my mind at the time, or whatever I feel like writing about. To start it off, lets talk about summer since we’re on that topic. About a year ago, I would be so excited that I was going to finally be an 8th grader. Looking back on it…was it really all that special? It was another ordinary school year, just like the past 2 years in middle school….well for me anyways. Then it ended. Just like that. Now summer is here and that same feeling comes back…just a little different. Now im excited for being a high-schooler. But is high school really different than middle school? Sure theres more freedom and homework, but the drama is still the same, or even worse. How did I get on this topic when I was talking about summer……wait. Why am I even talking about school! Its the summer! I don’t need to worry about school for another few weeks! Ahh. Well, its time for me to say, adios!
She’ll Be Coming Around the Corner When She Comes….
Where on Earth has this year gone to? Just yesterday we were sitting in the auditorium listening to our teachers give us a speech about how the year is going to be, and today I finished up the last concert I will ever do for Moran! Everything we all have been through this year has created things we will never forget. 3 years gone by already. 3! This year, we are/were the big fish in a small pond. Next year, we are the small fish in a big pond. Can you believe our middle school memories are almost over!?

I was waiting outside the auditorium, waiting for them to call my name so I can audition. Trying to stay calm all the while trying to remember my song I had to sing. They call my name, and I started to walk down the side aisle up to the stage. What do I do as soon as I get about halfway down the aisle? I fall flat on my face.
Wow! Where did the last 5 months go? It seems like just yesterday, a bunch of us were waiting outside the auditorium, waiting for our named to be called to go up to the stage and sing our audition song in front of a bunch of teachers. Just yesterday we did our final show! This has definitely been one of the most enjoyable expiriences of my life. Hanging around with all of my friends, doing what we do best, going nuts and singing on stage….
It all started at the end of last year during one of my lessons. Ms. B was working with someone and she told me to go and listen to the CD on her desk. Well, it had a Cat in the Hat..well..hat on the cover of it, and I was entirely confused until I opened it up and the disk said Suessical the Musical on it. Immediately I knew this was the musical we were going to be doing for the next year, and I was really excited because I was the first to listen to it. After a few songs, the ”’lesson”’ - didn’t do much singing now, did I? - was over, and Ms. B came over and asked what I thought, and I was still really excited. Though, she made me promise not to tell anyone what we were doing, so I didn’t. I remember singing one of the songs all the time in the hallway or just randomly and all my friends would give me strange looks, since it’s a very unusual song selection, but also very well designed for creating this from Dr. Seuss. For those who still haven’t figured out what Seussical is, its many different stories from Dr. Seuss packed into one musical with a surprisingly good storyline. It includes stories from, The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who, Gertrude McFuzz, Horton Hatches the Egg, Yertle the Turtle and other stories, I Had Trouble In Getting To Solla Sollew, McElligots Pool, and Oh The Thinks You Can Think!
Now in this Musical, there really aren’t any small parts, as every part is important in some way. Originally, I tried out just to be a Bird Girl. The Bird Girls are basically the narrators of the story, and are in quite a few scenes, and have to know how to dance and sing. So there I was, outside the auditorium, pacing, singing the song to myself over and over, and dreading when they would call my name. At that moment, they call it and I have to take that walk down that side aisle with all those teachers looking at me. Well, me being me, trip over my own two feet and fall flat on my face. This actually kinda helped get me nerves out, since I of course laughed at myself. I was actually calm and ready to audition. I sang my song well, I though, and then had to act like an animal. I think I was either a monkey, or a penguin…I can’t remember. So for the next week I was all excited wanting to know whether I got a part or not. So on the day the Call Backs were listed, I ran up to the sheet and started jumping around like a mad women. I had gotten a call back! But then I thought, ‘Why would they want to give call backs to Bird Girls? (For those who don’t know, a Call Back is when they think you did really good and you have a chance at a certain part. So they bring back people who they thought did really good to try out again.) So the next week, I stayed after school one day for call backs, wondering why I had been chosen. First, they did Call Backs for Horton, the elephant, even though most of us already knew who it was going to be. Same with the Cat in the Hat- we had known who was going to play that for ages. Next they did Gertrude McFuzz, and Jojo- the Mayors Son. (Obviously going in order for most important) After they had those auditions, they were doing Mayzie LaBird, who is too hard to explain. Well turns out I had gotten a call back for her! I hadn’t even auditioned for her and got a call back! Well I was really excited, but I really didn’t want a lead part. After I had auditioned again, they told some of us we could leave while others stay behind for more parts. I got to go home, and wait another few days for the cast list. As soon as the list was posted, I automatically ran up to it and almost fainted. I had gotten the part I really wanted, which was the Bird Girl, but I had also gotten the understudys understudy for Mayzie! That means that if both Mayzie and the Understudy can’t do a show or rehearsal, I had to! I was both excited and mad at the same time because I really didn’t want a lead, but was really happy I got the part I wanted.
This has definitely been the best musical ever. I got to spend a lot of time with my old friends, and some new ones. We all became such a close family over the last 5 months of hard work, that we were all in tears by the time the cast party was over on Sunday. None of us will ever forget such a great time we had, or all the great memories we shared, and this post goes out to the Seussical ‘08 Cast! <3

Well, here’s something you don’t hear everyday…
Ok…so as usually, I was on this website I go to like…..EVERY day to check up on all things Harry Potter. Whether it be news on filming/cast for HBP (Half-Blood Prince) anything! ANYWAYS…I saw this as one of their articles and thought it was…well… very interesting…not something you would think of doing…usually. BUT!!! There is a very weird part about it. Before mi hermana went off to college *tear* we went to the Midnight release of Deathly Hallows with a bunch of her friends, and we were talking about Harry Potter in school. Like about all the things we would do and what not…then reading this…ahha! Those dang Nargles must have overheard us told some school in the UK about it and decided to do it!

Happy Birthday! (again)
Yeayeayea. Tis my Birthday turday. Haha turday, fun word. So, the last post, as you can see, ’sang’ happy birthday to me by me last night. But thats not fair because….well yesturday(haha) wasn’t my birthday. Today Is!! Yay. Yupyup. I got mobbed by a whooole bunch of people this mornin’ outside. It was craazy.(but fun, too….) So far, i’ve gotten a few presentes.
Numero uno- a blue ipod nano.(i’ve been wanting one for years! My creative is sooo dumb.)
Numero dos- A case for my ipod, yay.
Numero tres- A journal thingymabob from mi hermana. Along with some funky eyelashes…..not sure what thats about, but it goes great with my castume!! hehe.
Numero cuatro- A bunch of cards from people (Thankx!!)
Numer cinco- Money! Oh yea.
Yea, so that was all from earlier today and beginning of October. (I reallllllllly wanted to ipod…) So, yea! Happy Birthday to Me!!!
Its A Bird, Its A Plane, No..Its Mr. Poppers Penguins!!
Haha! Finnaly I have gotten to posting this blog. Soooo many of you guys keep asking me why I like penguins so much and well, here it is.
This whole thing started in third grade. We had to get into reading groups and decide on a book to read with our group. Our group had no intention of reading any of the books because they sounded dumb or something. (I know, I know, dont judge a book by its cover…I was in 3rd grade!! Give me a break!) SO, our teacher picked a book for us, called Mr. Poppers Penguins. Of course, we all groaned and moaned because none of us really wanted ot read it. Then after a few days of reading, we all actually got into the book and really liked it. It was about one man called Mr. Popper who loved to learn about the Antarctic. One day, he is sent a penguin in an icebox, and more and more penguins keep coming. He and his family take care of all of them, and start teaching them tricks. They are soon know as ’Poppers Perfoming Penguins’, and perform on stages all around. I fell in love with penguins ever since this book. I laughed everytime they performed and all the time throughout the book. The penguins were a lot of fun, so cute, witty, clumsy, smart, funny, everything a penguin sometimes usually isn’t, haha. (If that makes sense…..) Well, to understand more, you would have to read this book. So, yea i just fell in love with them adn started collecting everything penguin. Then, I think in either 2001, or 2003, (who knows, maybe 2004) March of the Penguins came out in the movies. It told the story of how penguisn must survive and raise their younge, which are sooooo cute! It is a documentry, but a good one. Then, in 2006, Happy Feet came out, telling the story of how one penguin has to fit in because hes ‘different’. He gets captured by ‘aliens’ then tells the other penguins about the aliens, but no one believes him. It was such a cute movie, including singing and dancing. Everyone loved it! Then, over the summer, another movie called Surfs Up came out. Wow, penguins are taking over the movies!!! This movie was really cute too, escpecially all the little penguins. Surfing penguins, whats better than that?! Anyways, penguins are jsut soo cute, and have funny personalitys, and I just Love them!!!
