Drug Testing?!
Should students involved in extracurricular activities be tested for drugs?
I do not think that kids in general should be tested for drugs. No kids should be doing drugs in the first place, but we still shouldn’t test them anyway. It is just a waist of money from the goverment. Parents should be making sure that the kids aren’t doing anything they shouldn’t. If we do test kids, we are only going to find out if they ae doing drugs or not, they will not make them stop doing it. We already have a health program telling kids not to do drugs, and its their decision to do it, though if we test, you are only going to pull the kid out of doing their activity, but your not going to be able to make them stop doing drugs. Ok, so say we do do the testing. You have now the knowledge of whos doing drugs and have pulled them out of their activities. Now what? Your not goign to be able to put a stop to their drugs, it will be their decision to stop. But of course, you will try to stop them from doing them, but it will fail. If the parents dont tell them to stop, do your really think someone from teh school board or government will get them to stop?! Good luck with that, then. Anyways, it is just a waist of money if we do drug testings. It is the parents responsibiility so get them to stop, do we need to the get school board involved!?!

What would you do with your superpower?
First, I think the superpower I would want would have to be…the ability to fly.
I would use this superpower so I never have to take a plane again, because im terrified of heights, and since 9/11. If I could just fly, it would be a lot safer because anything can happen when your on a plane, but when your flying, your flying free with no worries. Also, I could take people with me so they dont have to worry about all the things too. I have always had dreams about flying and just being able to fly free without having planes to carry you. Flying….you wouldnt need to pay a few hundred of dollars to get to one place, you dont have to worry about something going wrong like engine problems, people with weopons..and you dont have to sit next to a person who smells, haha. I mean, just think of all the things you can see better when your flying free and not on a plane. You would be able to see so many more things, from a different point of veiw. Of course, I wouldn’t fly too high, since Im terrified of heights, haha. And I would be able to share the expiriance of flying with someone because I would be able to take someone with me. Just think of all the things you could do…….and not have any worries!

What Would You Do If You Were Not Afraid?.
Haha. I actually get to relate something from my own life to Harry and the Potters. For you who don’t know who this is, it’s the first wrock band, ever, along with the Switchblade Kittens. Many have been created since then. They write good songs, though, they may not be the best singers, haha. Anyways, they tell the story of Harry Potter, through songs. One song is called “Dumbledores Amry”, and tells how you have to ’stand up for what is right’ and ‘face your greatest fears’ . I am not afraid of many things, mainly because influences from Harry and the Potters. Many of their songs say we all have to be strong, even if ‘These Days Are Dark’, and look for lights. The line, ‘these days are dark, but we wont fall, we’ll stick together, through it all’ is saying that even though something bad is going on, we all have to be one, not be afraid, and have courage. Im not trying to say im not afraid of anything, believe me I am, haha, I’m just trying to say if we are all sticking together through something that affects us all, we can get through it.
Ok, so you’re probably wondering what I am afraid of. One of my biggest fears are spiders. I hate them, and never want to see them. The other night i had a spider in my bed, and I screamed for my mother because I was not going to touch it and get it off. I think if i was not afraid of spiders, I would probably have more ….erm…..’simpathy’ towards them, since they do eat like the small bugs and pests. Though, they are creepy and even little ones scare me….*shiver*….
Another thing, I am usually not afraid of the dark. I know its stupid, but sometimes I just feel like someones watching me, even though I know no one is there. Before I moved downstairs (well, kinda the basement) into my sisters old room, I haven’t been afraid, not at all, and this is the darkest place in the whole house. When I was still in my old room, I would always feel afraid. Its really weird, actually.
So in all, I think if I were not afraid of some things, I would have more courage to do things. Im the kind of person who really isnt afraid of much, but there are things that scare the life out of me, haha. If I wasn’t afraid of heights, I would go on more hikes in the mountains and do more of that kinds of things I guess…

Honor of One Web Day
In honor of One Web Day, I asked some people 4 questions about the interenet.
1-How did you spend your time differently before the Internet?
2-What things were harder to do before the Internet?
3-What things are easier to do now with Internet?
4 -How has it affected the way you work and live?

First, I asked my mom, and here are her answers~
1- Well, it hasn’t impacted my life much to do things I dont do now, but I use to go to friends houses, work, spend time with husband, traveled. *Remember, my mother only uses the Internet at work, and rarly at home, only like 3 times a month….*
2-Look up information, we always had to og to the library. Access directions. Things in job would have to be hand written and mail through post-office.
3-Talk and email people, sharing/downloading pictures, can get recipes without having to buy a whole book for only one recipe.
4- 90% of my job is working with the internet and computer, would be very tough without it.
Next, I asked my Dad the same questions~
1- Talk to my wife, sit outside, play games with family and friends…
2- Keeping track of finances, communicating, getting any info.
3-Getting current, up-to-date info, reasearching, paying bills.
4-More efficient in both, mode job a lot easier, at home it helps the kids with studys…
And finally, I asked my neighbor was she thought~
1-Read, do puzzels, same things I do now…
2-Research…..look up pictures
3-Email and talk to family, find information about anything and everything
4-It is a MUST HAVE for work. My work would be nothing without it, no one would be able to do their jobs…
~As you can see, things were harder before there was interent, some things were the same trying to do things but it turned out to be hard. Now with interent, things are a lot easier, and we should appreciate that its here.~
What Do You Consider The Most Important Amendment?
What do you consider to be the most important Amendment in the Bill of Rights and why?
I think that the most important Amendment in the Bill of Rights is the first Amendment: Freedom of religion, speech, press, and peaceable assembly as well as the right to petition the government. To me, this is the most important one and it matters most to me. Freedom of religion is very valuable in our country. A lot of people in some countrys aren’t able to practice their religion freely, and have to do it under-cover in the night, or not at all. They also may have to practice a reiligon they are told do, or may be killed. This is wrong. Everyone should be able to study a religion of their choice freely and whenever they want, just like our country does.
Freedom of speech is also very important. Everyone has a voice and that voice should be heard to whoever is willing to listen to them. We should say what we have to say, listen for messages in what others are saying to us.
Freedom of the press is next in the first Amendment. This means to protect the right to obtain and publish information or opinions without government censorship or fear of punishment for publishing. This is important to writers or other publishers because this part of the Amendment gives them to right to do so.
This whole Amendment helps all of us to live freely. I’m sure we are all very thankful for this Amendment, because without it, our country would be a disaster, and no one would be able to do anything freely. This is definetly the most important Amendment because of freedom. Freedom gives us right to do things as we choose, though some people take advantage of this, then are punished. We should not take advantage, just think of what this country would be like without freedom??
Style of Blogging- Life Blogging {WARNING! Kinda LONG!!}
This is an easy blog to do because I can remember it as clear as day.
Well, on July 20th/21st, my sister and I and a bunch of her friends which im also friends with went to the midnight release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Well, we(meaning my sister and I) went dressed up as characters. I was Tonks and she was Hedwig :) We first went over to one girls house where everyone was meeting. Turns out we were the only ones dressed up! But hey, we didnt really care because when we got to Barns & Noble, they were the only ones that weren’t dressed up! hahaha.Anyways, we got there and signed in and started looking around for things to buy. My sister and I both got clothes, I got a Hogwarts hat and she got a Hogwarts shirt. Then we went outside because it was really crowded inside. We hung out around the curb just talking about what we think is going to happen. Then one friend( I hate not being able to use names, its hard to tell story lol) remembered she had some wrock music. Yes, wrock, w-r-o-c-k. Most of you wont know what that is, only true Harry Potter fans do…So we went over to my sisters car and she hooked up someone’s Ipod and we started singing songs from Harry and the Potters, Draco and the Malfoys, and the Remus Lupins. Again, wrock. While singing ‘Stick It To Dolores’, one of our friends came up and screamed, “OHMIGOD YOU LOOK LIKA FROG!!!” which is one of the lines from the song, hints the ‘Dolores’ in the title. Well we couldn’t stop laughing, and decided to join everyone else still on the curb. After a few minutes of talking, my sister rememberd she left her keys in the car, and the car was locked. (Smart sister, eh?) Well, we had to call my parents, and this was around 11:30 at night, which they were probably sleeping by now. So they came all the way from home and unlocked the car. Then we all sat in a circle on the curb again and started singing ‘The Mysterious Ticking Noise’ from the Potter Puppet Pals. It’s got many different parts so we all needed to join in and it was pretty funny. Then we created a different version using all our names. You need to listen to the song to understand, lol. Then we finaly got called so a few of them went inside to get the book while the rest of us waited outside since we didnt have wristbands. There were 4 of us that didnt have them, so we called ourselves the ‘Non-Wristband Club’…hey its midnight and our minds dont work then, remember. So they finaly come out with the books and started singing,’Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey..good bye’ since its the last book. Well, we all got the books and said goodbye and left. As soon as we got home my sister started reading it and took no breaks, then finished and i did the same. This was one night we all wont forget :)
Remember September 11th
September 11th, 2001. A day that no one could ever forget. I was in second grade the day tragedy happened. Since we were so young, I can’t exactly remember what happened. I do remember,though, that they sent us home early from school that day, and no one knew why. Every kid was most likely thinking,’Yay! We get to go home early when it’s not even a holiday!’ when actually, something very horrible was happening. My whole bus was excited because the school year just started, and no one wanted to go back. As soon as I got home, I remember that my family was crowded around the T.V. I started to say something and my sister shushed me and told me to be quiet. I was very confused what was going on and no one was talking. I remember looking at the T.V and saw two really tall towers that were covered in smoke. At first, I didn’t realize that they were the Twin Towers, then someone in my family told me that two planes crashed into the Towers. At that moment I knew that this day was not going to be easily forgotten by anyone. I also remember a year after at our school, a few grades went out onto the blacktop and help up construction papers and when looked at from the sky, it looked like a flag. That was really fun to do, and was for a good reason. Never Forget The World Trade Center To let you understand easier, i wrote a poem…..~~
September 11th is a day no American will forget
We all cried with tears of regret
I was in a second grade classroom when the first plane struck
No one knew it had happened, so we were out of luck
Our heroes climbed higher and higher,
Still they kept climbing; knowing around the corner was fire.
As everyone watched the first tower go down,
There wasn’t one face that wasn’t a frown.
Everyone’s days was filled with sadness and fear,
Not knowing if their loved one would again appear.
Then down goes the second tower, just like the first
At that moment all our emotions just burst.
Now 6 years later, our country closer since the attack
We all know that the Twin towers will never come back
We need to think of all the heroes saving lives in the dark,
Think about all the love inside the strengths of our hearts
We all need to believe and be strong,
Knowing what they did here was wrong.
One thing I’m sure we all do say,
Is thank you for giving up your lives that day.

Then you threw yourself on your bed and refused to move until you’ve finished the book. (School and other such trivial matters, such as eating, going to the loo, can wait!

One Wish For Someone…
“If you had one wish for any other person than yourself, what would it be?”
That is a difficult question to answer. I thought about it for a long time, and finally came up with a wish. My wish would be for my sister to have a good, fun college experiance. Some people just party through college years, some never have breaks because they study for 4 years, and have no free time. I just want my sister to enjoy to whole package, and not just study, and not just party. So far she’s had a lot of fun being in the Marching Band and playing at the football games. She has been playing instruments for a long time, and have gotten pretty good at them. She loves the college shes attending, and has been studying hard in her studdies. She is a hard worker, and I know she can have fun. (post-it notes, lol) I hope she has a wonderful collage experiance, and makes the best in life.
